The League of Kentucky Sportsmen is Kentucky's oldest and largest statewide organization of sportsmen/conservationists. 

Individuals who were concerned with the proper management of Kentucky's wildlife and natural resources, both game and non-game, formed the League in 1935. The League is a nonprofit, conservation/education organization comprised of individuals and state, local, and national affiliate groups working for the wise use and proper management of Kentucky's wildlife and of the state's renewable and non-renewable natural resources. The individual and group affiliates comprise the overwhelming strength of the League of Kentucky Sportsmen, known as the "umbrella organization" for all whose enjoyment is in any legitimate way related to hunting, fishing, fur-taking, shooting, and the conservation of the Commonwealth's natural resources.
